CSA FAQ

1.  What if I am unable to pick up my CSA?

It is your responsibility to make arrangements to pick up your CSA each week. If you know in advance you will be gone on pick up day (i.e. on vacation, fun!), please ask a friend, co-worker or family member to assist you. All unclaimed CSA deliveries will be donated to a local food bank or a charity of your company’s choosing.

2.  What if I have allergies?

All CSA members receive a rotational item each week (i.e. bread, butter, grains, etc.), so please let us know in advance if you have food allergies/sensitivities (i.e. gluten intolerance). Just leave us a note in the “Order Notes” section of the checkout page.

3.  I don’t think I can’t eat all this produce!?

Yes, you can. 🙂 Let’s get serious for a minute and talk about your health. Fruit and vegetables are loaded with important vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients that are absolutely vital to your health. People who eat fruit and vegetables daily have a reduced risk of many chronic diseases. If you’ve never thought of yourself as a big veggie eater, try juices and smoothies! They are a quick and easy way to drink your way to good health.

4.  What is this weird veggie in my CSA box & what do I do with it?

In our weekly email newsletter, we let you know what fruit and vegetables will be in your upcoming CSA box. You will receive a variety of staple veggies that everyone is familiar with (potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes) and some you may be trying for the first time – fun! We will provide a new recipe in every CSA box (specific to a fruit/veggie in your box) and recipes in your weekly newsletter.

5.  How do I know what will be in each CSA box?

We send out an email newsletter every Monday which provides a list of what your share will contain that week. This allows you to plan your meals and grocery shopping for the week. Delicious recipes, nutritional information, cooking tips & tricks, and videos on preparing food are also included.

6.  What do I do with all these CSA boxes?

Please be kind to the planet and return your CSA boxes to us when you pick up your weekly CSA share. We love to recycle and would very much appreciate your help!

7.  What if I can’t afford to pay for the entire season at once?

We offer the choice to pay on a weekly or bi-weekly basis too!  We want fresh, organically grown fruits & vegetables available to everyone!

8.  Why do I pay a deposit?

The non-refundable deposit ($100) guarantees your spot in our CSA program; 100% of the deposit is directly applied to the balance due for your CSA.

9.  What if I get fruit or veggies I don’t like?

Variety is the spice of life! 🙂 We offer a wide selection of nutritious seasonal fruit and vegetables. There may be a produce item or two in your CSA box from time to time you have never tried or didn’t cared for in the past. We highly recommend giving them a try in a new recipe – you may find you like the taste after all! Juicing is a fantastic way to get all of their amazing nutritional benefits.
